Several years ago, after a holiday in Madeira, I bought a Strelitzia plant (Bird of Paradise) as I was so taken with them on the island as they were everywhere. I put it in the conservatory but to my disappointment  it never did much until last year when it produced a flower. This year it has produced 3 flowers and I am over the moon. Sadly the flowers don't last that long and they seem to be secreting a sticky substance as if they are crying - but they are still beautiful

    Wow Jill, they are stunning blooms aren't they! Maybe they cry because they know they are not going to be about for long. Cracking photos, what papers are you going to use on them?.xxx

    Thanks Anita. I hadn't thought about scrapping them. Not a true scrapper I suppose lol. I have rather got out of the habit of late. Must get mywself into gear again.

    These are indeed stunning photos of stunning blossoms. I admired them as I walked past the other day. I only saw one that day.
